William Joseph "Bill" Cyr

William “Bill” Joseph Cyr, 71, of Brentwood, NH  formerly of Sandown, NH and Raymond, NH passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, after a lengthy illness.

Bill was born on February 18, 1954, to Lucille (Gagnon) and Hugh H. Cyr and was raised and educated in Salem, Massachusetts. Bill continued his education and received his associates degree in HVAC at Manchester Community College. He served in the US Army and the in the Massachusetts National Guard.

While most of his working years were spent in construction, Bill did work for many years at Lucent Technologies (Western Electric) and was a part-time Police Officer in Danville, NH, Sandown, NH, and Hampstead, NH.

Bill enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, scuba diving, horseshoe tournaments, and riding his Harley motorcycle.

He is survived by his daughter and two sons-in-law, Jessica and Paul Harper of Raymond, NH and Daniel Gerencser of Pensacola, FL, former spouse, Susan, with whom Bill remained friendly, grandsons, Robert and Precious McIntosh of Century, FL, and Kyle and Hannah McIntosh of Pace, FL. He also leaves his granddaughters, Kelsi Morasse and Cade Frucci of Portsmouth, NH, Kendra Morasse of Raymond, NH, Madison Harper of Raymond, NH, and Kierra Harper of Pittsfield, NH, great-granddaughter, Emaline McIntosh of Pace, FL, sisters, Cynthia and Carl Rousseau of Merrimack, NH, Cheryl and Joseph Vastl of Salem, NH, and Kathleen Cyr of Merrimack, NH as well as his companion, Marie Ouellette; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica McIntosh, his parents and his brother, Scott “Cary”.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. In honor of Bill, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
