Thomas Sheppard Obituary

Thomas “Todd” Sheppard gave up his soul to God on February 5, 2026, after battling complications from pneumonia. Thomas was born at Lynn Union Hospital August 19, 1955, and was named after the doctor who delivered him. He grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School class of 1973. He retired from his career as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service and resided in Salem, NH with his wife of 34 years Carol (Doucette) Sheppard. Todd made a promise to his dying father that he would care for his mother and he was faithful to that promise until his mother’s passing on July 29, 2025. Todd traveled to Wakefield every week to tend to the graves of family members at Forest Glade Cemetery and, if while driving through, you see a grave with an excess of American flags and US Navy symbols, that would be Todd’s doing.

Todd was predeceased by his father, Arthur, and mother, Marie (Jacquard) Sheppard, and his brothers Stephen, William, and Robert. He is survived by his wife Carol of Salem, NH, his brothers, Jack and his wife Doreen of Belmont, NH, Andrew and his wife Paula of Atkinson, NH, his sister Mary Elizabeth Coye and her husband Dave of Litchfield, NH and his brother Leonard “Hogie” of Plaistow, NH.

May Todd’s memory be a blessing.
