Ronald A. “Butchie” Perry – Sandown, NH

 

Ronald A. Perry, affectionately known as “Butchie” by those who knew him best, passed away on February 18, 2026, in Sandown, NH, after a battle with cancer. Born on September 8, 1944, in Cambridge, MA, He grew up to be a man of remarkable character—loving, kind, and intelligent, touching the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

 

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Donna (Mallon) Perry, and a loving father to his sons, Ronald F. Perry, with his wife Theresa (DiDomenico) Perry, and the late Shawn Perry. He was a cherished grandfather to Ronald C. Perry and his wife Andrea Gomez-Reyes, Nicole Perry, and the late Ryan Christopher Perry and a proud great-grandfather to Aubrey, Anthony, Angelo, Tessa Perry-Gomez, and Ryan Carter Perry. His legacy continues through his family, a testament to the love and values he instilled in them.

 

The son of the late Albert J. and Mildred E. (Sousa) Perry, He was the brother to the late Richard V. Perry, Raymond J. Perry, and Rosemary L. Hamilton, and beloved uncle to the late Brian Hamilton. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

 

He was a proud graduate of Ringe Tech, where he honed his skills that would later define his career as a PCB Designer. His work was not just a job but a passion, and his contributions to the field were both significant and enduring. He was a respected member of his professional community, known for his meticulous attention to detail and his innovative approach to design.

 

He had a wide array of interests that reflected his curious and engaging nature. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the quiet moments by the water. His love for model airplanes showcased his patience and precision, while his enthusiasm for gambling, cars, and computers spoke to his adventurous and inquisitive spirit. Each hobby was a window into the facets of his personality that made him so unique.

 

As we say goodbye to Ronald A. Perry, we celebrate the life of a man who was truly one of a kind. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of his life. His story is not one of sorrow, but of a life well-lived and full of love. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us for generations to come.

 

Calling hours are from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Goundrey Dewhirst Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH 03079. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the funeral home. A spring burial will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in Hampstead, NH
