Frank McNeil, Jr Obituary

Frank D. McNeil, Jr a cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026 in New Hampshire. He was Born on April 15, 1949 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Frank was predeceased by his parents Alice and Richard McNeil and his brother Edward McNeil. He was the oldest of 11 children that include Joyce, Thomas, Dennis, Denise, Brian, William, James, Michael, and Robert. His life was a testament to the enduring strength of family and the joy of pursuing one's passions.

Frank grew up in Haverhill where he attended Haverhill Trade School, laying the foundation for his lifelong career. He initially worked in the local shoe factories, a nod to the town's industrial heritage. His industrious spirit and mechanical inclination led him to venture out on his own, eventually opening a successful business where he applied his talents to fixing cars. His work not only provided for his family but also allowed him to connect with the community, forging lasting relationships and earning respect for his expertise and trustworthiness.

Frank leaves behind his children, Cynthia Gonyer and her husband Christopher, Sandra McNeil and her partner Donald, Ronald McNeil, Linda Townsend and her husband Keith, Sharon Couture and her husband Richard, David McNeil and his wife Whitney, and Kevin McNeil and his wife Kaydra. He instilled in them the values of hard work, kindness and the importance of family. His legacy continues through his 21 grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Cynthia, Amber, Anthony, Brandon, Alexander, Elizabeth, Kaili, Logan, Alicia, Richard, III, Landon, Adrian, Julian, Bentley, Emerson, Brayleigh, Camden, Isaiah, and Walker and 9 great-grandchildren Zeviah, Robin, Ivy, Odin, Aiden, Jyllian, Gavin, Naziah, and Daniel.

Frank's interests extended beyond his professional life. He was known for his love of music and could often be found enjoying his collection of jukeboxes with Celine Dion's melodies frequently filling the room. His friends and family will remember the friendly gatherings where Frank's taste in music was a highlight. His love for animals was equally profound, and he never spent a day without the companionship of a beloved pet, each of whom was treated as a member of the family. Described by those who knew him as wise and handy, Frank was a man who could be relied upon to offer a helping hand or a piece of sage advice. His presence was a source of comfort and stability and his ability to fix not only cars but also the occasional lend a helping hand at any construction his family needed

Frank's life story was a journey that touched many lives. As we bid farewell to Frank, we celebrate the enduring impact he had on his family and friends. His wisdom, friendship, and the countless memories he created will continue to inspire and guide us. Frank D. McNeil, Jr. will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
